Phil has been playing the guitar for over 27 years, including study at The Nelson School of Music. Performing on a regular basis as a solo artist and musician for weddings and functions.

‘I teach contemporary style acoustic guitar. My philosophy is to make learning the guitar fun and enjoyable for students. I am willing to teach all ages and ability levels from beginners to advanced. I have designed my own guitar lesson sheets and students are taught all about the following: Tuning methods, open chords & advanced barre chords, strumming patterns, finger picking patterns techniques, the music theory you need to know for guitar, reading guitar tablature and notation, scales for jamming and exercises, how to write songs & songwriting tips, favourite songs and more!’

In respect of a request for correction, if we think the correction is reasonable and we are reasonably able to change the personal information, we will make the correction.
