The joys of new strings

Couldn't ask for better, affordable strings!
By: Roidan Sutherland on 7 January 2021Very long life, after a week or so they hold their pitch quite well. Perfect for long-term use on a classical guitar. Continues to sound warm and loud, even after weeks of storage in the gigbag. Even in alternate tunings (Open D etc), the strings hold their pitch without issue. Only criticism is that the 3 bass strings seem to break up around the frets, as the nickel wrap around the nylon core unwinds.

By: Robert Fisk on 11 June 2019Don't you hate it when one guitar string breaks and you are faced with buying a whole new set 1) because one string costs nearly as much as a set 2) if you don't you might get one odd tone in your chords? I bought a complete string set of Artist CLST Classical Nylon strings, normal tension for both reasons, thinking I could replace all six strings if the tone was wrong but dreading haviing to tension a whole set. I replaced just the broken string. While I still have to increase the tension each practice session, after three sessions it is just a tweak to get it right The tone is great - the D is a critical string for tone - and the price was SMALL.

quality strings for a low, low price
By: Ciaran on 10 May 2019I bought these strings to use on my Ukulele as a low-g set. They work perfectly and are the same price as the Artist Ukulele strings, but there isn't a low-g option in that range. Does the job, sounds like it should.

I have them on a custom Canadian classical which sounds country western and a Spanish that gives that real Spanish sound. Its amazing the difference that you can actually hear in the strings.... thank you they are exquisite
