Artist BLACK58TRM Black Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar

Based on our popular Black58 model, the Artist BLACK58TRM was developed as a direct result of feedback from our customers looking for something with a little more versatility than the Black58.

While retaining many of the features of the more traditional Black58 the Artist BLACK58TRM differs with the addition of the roller vibrato. This roller-trem style vibrato was popular in rockabilly from its earliest days and now has gained widespread popularity across many styles of music both on stage and in the recording studio.

With the typical set-neck that typifies most guitars of this style, this is a great instrument for anybody looking for something unique in their sound. Like the body, the neck is constructed of maple with an Ebony fretboard. The 22 frets show off the 'Block' shaped inlays on the comfortable "C" shape neck, and the roller-bridge with the roller-trem vibrato system makes this a real player's instrument.

The Artist BLACK58TRM Signature Bullbucker individual Coil Splitting pickups which means that you have the option of the warm throaty tones of the neck pickup or the biting clean sounds of the bridge pickup. When you set your toggle switch in between neck and bridge pickup you get that wonderful almost out-of-phase sound, and the push/pull coil-splitting on both pickups is an extremely useful and versatile addition offering single-coil or humbucker configurations. You will be able to put a stamp on all those great blues solos and wail like the greats or you could darken the tone to suit the "cool" of any dingy little jazz club.

Budget Friendly but EXTRAORDINARY!!!

The deciding factors on what makes a great guitar can be vast, but also narrowed down to a few simple basics. Tone, feel, comfort, construction to name few. I can confidently say this guitar does ALOT of these things extremely well for the price. After playing a rather broken epiphone Les Paul for quite a number of years, I was looking for something that wouldn’t hurt the pocket too much, but still give me similar feels and tone. This 335 style guitar has blown me away in many areas including some of the deal breaker factors like tone, playability etc etc. This guitar sounds incredible and having the coil split pick up’s just really adds to the tonal range you can get from one guitar. The guitars fit and finish is really great and something you’d see on higher end top branded guitars which blew me away. The locking tuners is an added bonus to this amazingly built guitar and really locks in your tune even after smashing the Bigsby trem for a set or two. It’s fair to say I won’t be putting this guitar down anytime soon or replacing it. Maybe for another Artist! If I was to say anything slightly less positive, it would have to be about the finish on the fretboard. A few more goes over with the file on some of the frets and perhaps a polish and an oil would really have made this a flawless instrument. But that aside, for what it’s worth $$, it should be worth more. Fantastic guitar and very happy with the purchase.
